Straight edge is hardcore's Islam. Most suscribers are peaceful, but a percentage are violent and oppressive. However, when people complain about it, the peaceful edge kids bitch and whine about how we shouldn't judge everyone according to actions of the few. However, they almost never go ballistic on the people who actual perpetrated these crimes in their name. And when a fight breaks out, they'll most likely end up on the side that the rest of the edgers took, violent or not, making them complacent and nearly as bad as the violent edge groups. It's an almost-perfect analogy.

Edit: Case in point:

When that singer was asked to publicly denounce the actions of these thugs, he avoided actually condemning them and said "it's not worth it." That's a total cop out and really makes you wonder what side he's on.
