LOL.... first, they dont carry machine guns. they carry 9mm or .357 semi automatic pistols. however, some officers carry M16-A2 service weapons (rifle) in their cruisers but they could lose their jobs if they bring those into a room full of "completely innocent, friendly, cooperative teenagers" listening to music.

well, guy, thats what he was carrying, was an m16 with 2 extra clips in his other hand everyone saw it.

i think the rev summed it up well, especially for notbeing there, the cops were scared and over reacted.
