first of all, you denounced protesting as a whole, not just in this case. aside from that, i'm more than aware that chances are this protest will amount to nothing in terms of the cops getting in trouble. However, that's not what it's about. It's about taking a stand against people who think they can pick on whoever they want and hide behind the badge. It's about standing by a group of kids that i'm friends with and showing them i care. If i take a beating, then so be it. In fact, if i get beat, it'll support the cause

I don't expect you to care about the hardcore community, as i'm sure you don't. Maybe if you did go to shows you'd care enough to stop being an internet cynic and start contributing to a scene (whether metal or hardcore) that you probably claim to be a part of.
