so long as you keep track of what you download and what sites you visit you can virtually eliminate spyware, adware and virii on a PC. it also helps to keep up to date with virus definitions and spyware definitions.

I'll give credit where credit's due, and acknowledge that Mac's are nice pieces of hardware. the fact that there are little to no virus' around for them is largely due to the fact that they're too expensive for a run-of-the -mill hacker or script kiddie to afford to learn the OS and figure out how to do serious damage. another helpful point is the fact that it's built on a UNIX backbone (or at least it used to be) and if anyone knows *NIX OS's they know how stable and reliable they are. The major part fo the stabillity in a Mac comes from the software, before the hardware.

I'm more of a PC guy, mainly for the cost & massive amount of available games, but when you break it down blow for blow, Mac's just do some things better
