the show started just after midnight and was over by 1. all the artists played in different spots (for the most part)

pleasurehorse: interesting stuff. the guy had a pile of equipment in front of him. at first, it looked like a pile of junk, but then you realize all the complex boxes that he had out in front of him with computer interfaces to them. he also had a full oversized drawing pad that are crazy $. the music was noise, but not like mezbow noise. there was some of the feedback and harsh noises, but for the most part it was a lot of layer noises and tones that sounded really familar and not jarring. I found myself just trying to figure out where I'd heard certain parts before.

twodeadsluts onegoodfuck: after talking with people and listening to the tracks online, I knew sort of what I was in for. the lights were totally out so you couldn't see anything. at that moment it was clear that any flashes of light would blind people for a few seconds. oh well, I had wanted to see them for a long time and new got the chance to flashes away! with in 2 seconds of the start of their set, my height proved to be a disadvantage. *bop* right in the nose by a freshly washed head of red hair. i have a cold so my nose just ran. after that, I was a little bit more on my gaurd. for those of you that don't know their music. it's mostly noise with screaming. listen to the tracks on myspace and you'll get the idea. the beginning part had a bit too much of the make-up uber-homosexual (go figure, the guy was wearing 1/2 pants and ian sevonious is rolling over in his grave). after those first few minutes, it decended into more chaos with both ted and shana tripping over each other and screaming. the whole set took maybe 11.02 minutes. the .02 was the encore they were convinced to do. the live set had a lot more feedback then the mp3s. oh and ted downed a whole 40oz while they played.

triumph of gnomes: I felt really really bad for these dudes. they came from really far away and then for over an hour they were carrying gear inside. they had so much gear. their set was good. the singer ran around making people feel uncomfortable by getting in their faces. some of their stuff sounded like the chinese stars not much of it though. it was more in the beginning. they had some of that random churping synth stuff that the locust have. in the end, a drunk girl pushed them around. it looked harmless, but then she rolled across the guitarist's pedals and got up, plunging into the synth rack. the guy on the synths was busy fixing some cables that she had tripped over and wasn't gaurding his gear so it got knocked over on the ground and somethings broke. they singer yelled at that point "our shit is broke, go see suffering bastard quickqucikquick". you could see that the synth player dude was not happy.

suffering bastard: the first part of their set was over in 2 beats? it went like this "Dundun..." silence. done in under 16 seconds. the power at that point cut completely out. it looks a bunch of flashlight enabled guys to fix the problem. the power went on and off a ton of times. I think they unplugged something. finally, the power stayed on and they were able to continue. I must say that greg's drumming was better suited to this band. he played heavier and sludgier than the new guy (dave?). the new guy was a little too tight for the band's sound. however, I like this band a lot better now than before because they don't to the fake blood stuff. it was all about the music. the only antics besides running into the crowd and crawling on the flood was the bass-guitar sodomy... but I'll leave that to the people who were there.
