thanks to Munsey (http://www.Skateboard-Marketing.com) for getting me in.

bane of existence: wow, their set rocked. at their last show at the o'briens, the vocals sucked for the first half of their set and was tight for the rest of the night. Tonight, it sounded sick. they fill that whole room with brutalty. dougs vocals sounded so good, you could actually hear the back up singing, AND mike looked calm as ever, not even breaking a sweat.

blistered earth: musicially, this back is an amazingly technical thrash band. they play awesome, semi-slayer trash. my only problem is the vocals. they sound too much like james hatfield and I really dislike metallica. They played this instrumental that shreadded.

havochate: geepers creepers... I thought it was weird that there would be 2 havochates... both doing power-ish metal, but there isn't. it's the same band. I didn't really like them the other time either with the old singer.

all that remains: honestly, I didn't recognize the two old songs they played. what I did hear were a ton of new songs off the up coming cd. they were awesome and I can't wait to hear the finished product on a cd. This band should be touring more after the new CD is done. Can't wait to see them on more shows. Unfortunately, there were too many microphones on the stage so... you'll see them in a lot of the pictures.

overkill: ok, the reason I went was to see this band. They've been around for like a million years and are still rocking it amazingly. Lead man, Bob Blitz still has the full range while he's singing, able to rip out the higher vocals with out a difference from his younger years. They send out a song to Dr Metal (RIP) and Johny Cash (RIP), talking about how he's been trying for the passed 10 years to get DD to cover burning ring of fire. they ripped through soooo many great songs:

they played an encore too.. all old songs though... ninkaszi put it best after they were done by chanting for deny the cross. I'll admit... that's the one song I really wanted to hear (my fav overkill song). anyhow, that's the only flaw in their set, all 1:20 minutes of it!
