I disagree...i strongly feel thrash had the most identity and there were so many bands that didn't sound like one another...Metallica didn't sound like Slayer who didn't sound like testament who didn't sound like Overkill who didn;t sound like Wargasm...WAY more individuality in thrash and a lot more quality artists
