our final chapter: death metaly vocals with only 2 or 3 break downs. I ran in for them, but got to see most of their set. Like once or twice, they put in some melodic guitar parts, but for the most of the time it was more deathmetaly. Oh and they had 3 guitar players.

black days dawning: reminded me a lot of the auburn system. The vocals were dry like nick, but with a touch of a LOG sound to them. There were also a few good solo riffs mixed in. There were only a few "mosh" parts. there was actually one song that sounded like an unearth song covered by black dahlia murder which most people who are regulars here will think is the gayest combo ever, but it was good.

on paths of torment: an awesome band. From the name, I thought they would be a hardcore band, but they weren't. They were totally deathmetal with a lot of good running guitar riffs. Their CD release was suppose to be last nght, but the issues with the CT show stopped that. The singer reminded me of jon (dehumanized). I have a feeling they will easily be signed to prosthetic records if they try. Their new CD (since this is now their CD release show) features vincent (the acacia strain) on vocals for on of the tracks so he came up and did guest vocals for them. they gave me a copy of the CD for my show. I can't wait to listen to it.

in dire need: it's funny how I told joey back in 2003 at their first last show (fish tossing at the PAL) that I would see them at the reunion. Which I saw at (in october 03). Then I saw their last last show (fish tossing at the living room) and said I would see them at the next last show. Joey (upgraded fro ninja to cobra) adimatly said their wouldn't be one. Now, a year-ish later and I'm seeing their "reunion" show at cabot st. I was told their music totally changed, but it really didn't. one thing that I didn't like was that joey's voice hasn't achieved what it was at in the previous incarnation of ind, but they played 2 old songs for the old timers in the audience. the first one, I didn't really know what it was. I didn't recognize it at all. The last one had kids piled up on the stage singing along. I had been told that the newer stuff was more like bleeing through with the keyboard intros, but it really wasn't. the sea-sound interlude was oddly appropriate for this location (since I've always said that cabot st. Looks like a fishermen should come here). The newer stuff just needs joey's high squeels and ultra lows.

legeia: their set was short and to the point. They hardly paused at all and when they did, I thought they were done. They actually had a few more songs to pplay and the crowd fully filled in up front to sing along. They still remind me a lot of bleeing through live.

torn asunder: it's awesome to see them back in their native crowd. They get a lot of people dancing for them out in this area when they played at the palladium there weren't many people there. Awesome to see kids going off for death metal. the new CD is really good and I was really happy to see a show after hearing that CD a lot. It make's "the rope" actually fun to see cause 20 kids will pile on and go at it to be the last holding it. the bassplayer broke a string so he was out there too. After their last song, kids (including jeff ex-ahd) were pulling on that thing for like 5 minutes. I'm not sure the out-come there.

acacia strain, the: well first off they are I guess permamently without a 3rd guitar. They have a CD coming out that they just recorded (in june/july). their set was as crazy as you would expect it to be in their home town. everyone in the audience was all up on the stage.
They played a song called CUNT. Vincent prefaced it with a story about a girl that a lot of guys in the auidence all have banged. "if a dude has sex with a girl and they you have sex with that girl, but the transitive property, you have had sex with that dude and that's gross. Girls keep you legs closed. " at some point soon, they are having a video shoot, but it's in NYC so... I don't know who will make the treak out there to see them for that. Angel (in my sins) was on the mic a lot, but rusty (torn asunder) got up on stage and sang. I think that he's on the CD, but I didn't understand that part. some where towards the end, Seth vomited on a girl and then they ended in a huge pile on/grab for the mic.
