No sign of people anywhere nearby, they were either long gone or flame-broiled. But I could feel the heat from the car inside my car in the left lane, it was in the breakdown lane. Got off the highway and bought a cheap crap camera but the fire was out and the car was being towed away by the time I got back around to it, ended up waiting in traffic for a half hour instead.
