I'm a loser: <br> <br>Shadows Fall are this week's featured artist on MTV's "You Hear It First." Each week, MTV features an up-and-coming band in a video news segment that includes interview and live performance footage. The segment was taped at the band's performance at the Century Media Records showcase at South By Southwest in Austin, TX on March 15 and will air at the following times on Tuesday (May 14) and Wednesday (May 15): <br> <br>MTV <br>12:50am, 1:50am, 3:50am, 5:50am, 7:50am, 10:50am, 12:50pm, 1:50pm, 5:50pm <br> <br>MTV2 <br>1:15am, 3:15am, 5:15am, 7:15am, 11:15am, 1:15pm, 5:15pm, 6:15pm <br> <br>In the mid-'90s, Shadows Fall helped pioneer a Euro-styled metal/hardcore cross-over sound along with bands like Barritt, Day Of Suffering, Abnegation and Overcast (the band for which Shadows Fall vocalist Brian Fair sang before joining Shadows Fall). Shadows Fall are among only a few bands remaining from that first wave of metalcore, but fortunately, many more have formed to fill the void - bands like God Forbid, Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage and Unearth. <br> <br>Shadows Fall are putting the finishing touches on their third album, The Art Of Balance, which will be in stores late Summer or early Fall. The Massachusetts-based quintet will be debuting material from the new album on their upcoming White Trash Thrash Metal Comeback Tour with Lamb Of God, Darkest Hour and Unearth.
