Buddhists in general do not claim to know the truth, but are looking for it to reach enlightenment or nibbana. Buddhists monks only own 3 robes and a bowl, no other worldly possessions, doesn't seem to arrogant to me.

Feel free to convince the Buddhists I've spoken with of that, some of the most arrogant and condescending individuals I've ever seen in any religious debate (not even involving myself). I'm sure not all of them act this way, just like I couldn't say all of any religious group acted in a particular way.

I just find religion arrogant and misguided in general.
