the crowd turn out was a bit weak for western mass... perils of reasoning: yet another band that george is in! I think he goes through a band a month anyhow, I ran in part way into their set. they had a more seemless sound to them. not quite southern in their riffs, but something that sounded a bit more like the 70's. I think it was the vocals that were similar to jesse's. farwell radiance: they were suppose to be a band that I've never heard before. a lot of people were there video taping them and taking pictures. they weren't bad though I'm not quite sure how they were "suppose" to sound and they didn't have any demos to show me. all my sins: it started off a little rocky. I think the clean guitars at the beginning were a little off. angel had a sore throat, but still sounded good. they played all the songs they played after switching singers. it was cool to see the old singer out again. I figured he would have cameo'd which would have been cool, but he didn't. hot cross: their set was high energy, but just ok compared to the show in cambridge they did a few months ago. it also pales compared to the cd. still a good set. They made a bush comment and asked "4 more years of bush, who excited" so I yelled that I was. they didn't seem to like that. then I said "he's going to be insane and kill soooo many people, it's going to be awesome" they definitely didn't like that. fear before the march of flames: no matter way devon says up there, I like these guys a lot. they are all over the stage and hard to run around after snapping pictures. some day, I'll get a cd of theirs for my radio show so I will actually know their songs. scars of tomorrow: always cool to see these guys. I always forget they aren't from canada.. they are from the OC. since they've played fat cat's a bunch, the crowd knows them and this was probably the only band that got people moshing it up for them. great guys and they are getting the tour treatment, to the extreme.
