drowningman: since the VT band are back together, it would make sense that they would get on a tour like this. I wonder if they are going to bring back monster fest. they went on a before 7pm and played like 6 songs. during the last song, "they" anthem song, the since put the mic backwards in the audience. I was surprised the young kids knew their songs.

misery signals: since their new cd's have been in most people's CD players non-stop for a few months now, I'm pretty sure the crowd was singing along as loud as jesse, the singer. when they got to the 3rd song, they sent it out to me. thanks guys. At the end of their set, jayTUS turned to me and said something like "all I want is for them to play that last song again." The only thing missing from their set that was missing was the fact that the crowd couldn't get up on stage to swarm them during their set. I wonder if they will be on the main stage at NEMHF2005.

zao: they started up and song #1 was um... I don't know.. the vocals were all high-screams and the esential dry scream of zao didn't pop up in the song at all. after that the vocals went back to what you would expect from them. the set was mostly new songs, but they played 1 or 2 old ones. at one point the singer threw the metal horns... always odd when a xtian band does that.

everytime i die: some of their music is a little too much on CD, but live is a different story. they some times oddly remind me of lickgoldensky. seems like mostly young girls and boys go crazy for them. a lot of kids crowd surfed and some people actually got up on stage and dove.
this convo actually happend.
crowd "whoah"
keith, the singer "Is that joey lawrence? he's not been out of the picture long enough to be funny again. you gotta give it 2 years"
crowd "whoah"
keith "or 2 seconds"
then I think the singer taunted the pats fans in the audience.

dillinger escape plan: talk about bright lights. they use more lights than overkill... but on the good side, I think it made my pictures come out really well. they had lot more time than all the other bands and then have a pretty good catalog of music so they played a spread of songs and not just new ones, baby's first coffin, running board, mullet, good dogs, destro (last time I heard this songs was the live version of the relapse sampler), and a bunch of others. Thankfully, they went light on the smoke this time (usualy, their smoke machines are set to slayer). their guitarist, brian, was replaced on the trip by one of their friends. it seems that brian's got a pinched nerve that he's attending to. I was there until the last minute waiting for the other guitar player to climb up something high and jump off, but he didn't.
